Thanksgiving

 

For the gift of Salvation, free, not earned,
For Ayele, where love is fulfilled.
For Family, where love is the norm, not a mere expectation,
For Health, a reminder that we are mortal.

For Friends, who bring laughter and longing,
For Learning, that translates experience into action,
For Faith, that which we do not see, yet believe.
For the gift of Travel, offering the diversity of experience and meaning.

For Parents, those we knew and hardly knew,
For Life’s Lessons, the source of reflection and meaning,
For the Chance Encounter, that remains until today.
For the Musician, who makes vocation flow like a stream.

And for the Word, that was there in the beginning,
Declaring plans of welfare, future, and hope.
For the Morning Walk, where nature and providence meet.
